The starting point is that only employees and other persons within the organization who need
the personal data to perform their tasks should have access to it.
In the case of sensitive personal data, we have put in place specific access controls which provide
a higher level of protection for your personal data.
Our security systems are designed with your privacy in mind and provide a very high level of protection against
intrusion, destruction and other changes that could put your privacy at risk.
We have several IT security policies in place to ensure that your personal data is processed securely. We
do not transfer personal data in cases other than those explicitly stated in this policy.
When do we disclose your personal data?
Our starting point is not to disclose your personal data to third parties unless you have consented to
it or unless it is necessary to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations. In cases where we
disclose personal data to third parties, we establish confidentiality agreements and ensure that
the personal data is processed in a secure manner.

Background use of space

Our application Videotech Alarm offers functionalities based on the use of your geographical position
in the background. These features include:

  • Move Notifications: The app can send notifications when you are about to leave a certain area, with a recommendation to activate the security alarm.
  • Reminders when approaching Locked Areas: You can also receive notifications when approaching a
area that is locked or restricted.

In order to provide these services, the application needs access to your location even when the
app is not actively used. The location information is used exclusively to deliver the mentioned
features and improve your user experience.

You have full control over the use of the background functionality in our app. It is entirely up to you to choose whether to enable or disable this feature. This can easily be done within the app's own settings. For further customization and control, we also offer the possibility to adjust your
location data preferences directly in your phone's settings menu. This allows you to manage when and how your location information is used, giving you a flexible and customizable user experience.

Use of the contact list

Videotech The Alarm app also uploads users' contact list information to invite users to their Space, which is part of the app's core functionality.

Responsibility

Videotech Sverige AB is the data controller, which means that we are responsible for how your
personal data is processed and that your rights are safeguarded.
